OID and AD

Hi,

Is this an Oracle Application Server issue. It can be tricky to sync 10G
Application Server with Active Directory. I have achieved this with 10G
AS on windows, and I am working on it in SLES 8.

As I follow this thread

Assuming that you are using 10G AS, then the Oracle database it is
referring to is the infrastructure database.

You could take a look at the following which actually describes doing it
on windows with cygwin

http://portalstudio.oracle.com/servlet/page?_pageid=2106&_dad=ops&_schem
a=OPSTUDIO&_type=site&_fsiteid=233&_fid=205278&_fnavbarid=180376&_fnavba
rsiteid=233&_fedit=0&_fmode=2&_fdisplaymode=1&_fcalledfrom=1&_fdisplayur
l=

Hope that the url comes out OK.

Steve

Subject: [suse-oracle] OID and AD

I have a trouble linking AD and OID.
Reading common steps for migrating, i tried to do next:

ldapsearch -p 389 -h dc.domain.com -D Administrator@(protected) -w
adminpass -b "" -s base *objectclass=*" defaultnamingcontext

and h've got such thing:

ldap_sasl_interactive_bind_s: Unknown authentication method (-6)
>         additional info: SASL(-4): no mechanism available: No worthy
mechs found

If i right, therea are no prerequisites to run ldapsearch?
May be i need to enable kerberos somewhere in SLES?
